Today just continues to get better and better. A couple of days ago Black Milk released the official video for “Sunday’s Best//Monday’s Worst” and today we get the album in full streaming capabilities for his fans. The album will include features from Black Thought, Dwele, Robert Glasper, and more. To me, this is one of the highly anticipated albums of the year.
Black Milk is probably one of the greatest artist producers to me. Well at least in my top 10 list of favorite rapper/producers. That sounds like a great series to start. Anyways, I’m rambling. On October 15th, Black Milk is set to release a brand new studio album entitled No Poison No Paradise. The album is set to include features from Black Thought, Quelle Chris, Robert Glasper, Dwele and more. The forthcoming project will be released via Fat Beats and Black Milk’s Computer Ugly imprint. We’ve been waiting for a Black Milk album and we can’t wait!

While we patiently wait for Black Milk’s upcoming album No Poison No Paradise, Black decides to treat the fans with a brand new record. The record is called “Perfected On Puritan Ave”, and yes Black Milk is spitting flames on this. I’ve heard this sampled used, but Black Milk does what he does and impresses the fans. The album is expected to be released in October.
Late last night, Black Milk decided to treat the fans with a gift in the instrumental form. He releases a collection of beats entitled “The Kraft”. He explains the reasoning/ concept behind the beats.
It’s rare for me to give people a listen or a glimpse into what I’m working on when it’s still in its experimental stages, but recently Upendo & I have been bouncing music and art illustration ideas back & forth and decided to post some of these rough drafts online. We call this piece “The Kraft.”
After a little hiatus, Black Milk released a new monster of a record last week and is currently prepping the release of a new studio album as well as instrumental series titled Fuzz, Freqs & Colors. Black Milk collaborates with illustrator Upendo “Pen” Taylor (Nike, Leroy Jenkins, Gatorade). Below is a a preview from the project entitled “Computer Ugly Ugly/ Why Worry.”
The process for each volume starts with Black and Pen trading beats and sketches and refining their works along the way. Throughout that exchange, the music is shaped by the visual art and the visual art is shaped by the music.
