Hard work is all that Michigan native JAY.B has been putting in as of late and his new project will verify that sentiment. Connecting with artists like Chavis Chandler, FowL, and Tay Rhodes, JAY has put together a solid debut project. Production comes strictly from Tay Rhodes, Talen Ted, and fellow Kalamazoo rep DeLaZoo. Ta-Ku and Kit Pop got familiar with eachother in the summer of 2013 and have been quietly working together as the duo HWLS ever since. Today they take to their BandCamp page to release their self-titled EP. The EP is short, only four tracks long and it doesn’t even have song titles but what you do get is a small bunch of funky records with creativity oozing throughout. A solid listen and despite the projects length fans are pleased with the outcome, including me. Let’s hope the two have more up their sleeve.
