Singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has been nabbling in the hip hop scene, first with Lupe Fiasco and now he’s working with the likes of Pharrell. He debuts the first single which is produced by Pharrell titled “Sing”. The British singer currently working on a brand new album, X which will be released in June. I think this is a great record, and great choice for a first single.

Since the single has been released, it’s been getting continuous radio play peaking at #24 on Billboard charts also in my (Ace)droid. Today Chris Martin and the gang release their official visuals for their latest single “Magic”. The “silent movie” is directed by Jonas Åkerlund and co -stars the lovely Ziyi Zhang. Talk about a love triangle. Sheesh. Anyways, Coldplay’s sixth studio album, Ghost Stories, will be due May 19 via Parlophone/Atlantic Records.

Haven’t heard much from Travie McCoy lately, but today is a different story. Travie releases the official visuals for his Brendon Urie uplifting record “Keep On Keeping On”. To be honest, this sounds really good, and I hope it does really well, especially if he’s releasing an album soon. If this what happens when the Gym Class Hero and Panic! at the Disco connect, I’m all for it.

So no-one was gonna inform me about this. Anyways, after releasing one of the most underrated rock albums in 2011 with their fifth studio album, Mylo Xyloto, a couple of days ago Coldplay released a new single. The feel good first single “Magic” is a great sign of some new music coming, and a great album brewing. On May 19th, 2014 the British alternative rock band will release their forthcoming sixth studio album, Ghost Stories. By judging this single, who wouldn’t be more excited to have a new Coldplay album this year.

Talk about an unexpected combination. One of my favorite rock groups Linkin Park debuted a brand new single entitled “Guilty All The Same”. The nearly 6 minute rock influenced single features a verse from a legend in his own right, Rakim. Haven’t heard Rakim spit a verse on a record like this, but Rakim appears at the 3:38 mark. Glad to see Linkin Park back.
“The reason we went with this single first is that we think it’s a good look into the DNA of the record that we’re putting out this summer. (Rakim)That’s like one of my idols. If you get into the nitty-gritty of his rhyme pattern and the topic in this song, it’s bananas what he is doing. He’s on the some Steve Vai s*** vocally.”

Imagine Dragons has a great album on their hands, with the infectious single as “Radioactive” was, it definitely deserved a remix. The rock and roll collective performed a mash up of the single at The Grammys with Kendrick Lamar’s “m.A.A.d City”, and the remix that features Kendrick as well. Check out the performance which can be found after the jump.

Since the band’s latest album Feel Good has been release, vocalist and keyboardist Tay Walker has been a solo artist as of late. Today he releases the official video for his premiere single “Karma”. His upcoming EP 25 Hours a Day will include features from Mac Miller, Casey Veggies and more. Check out a little more about the crooner down below.
Inglewood crooner Tay Walker is a vocalist and keyboardist of Odd Future neo-soul band The Internet and has also been featured as a solo artist on the band’s latest album, Feel Good. While Walker laces the finishing touches on his forthcoming effort, 25 Hours a Day, he releases the video for his most notable effort to date, “Karma”, via Billboard. The forthcoming effort will follow-up his previously released self-titled EP and is set to feature production from The Internet’s Syd the Kid and Harry Fraud, while also including guest verses from Mac Miller and Casey Veggies.

Been awhile since I’ve heard from Canadian songwriter and recording artist FeFe Dobson, but the gorgeous rock star singer debuts her music video “Legacy” today. The video starts out with FeFe portraying the lovely Marilyn Monroe while being carried down the hallway in a psych ward by staff. She wants to believe and think she’s Marilyn Monroe, Michael Jackson, and Amy Winehouse. The video is very rock-ish and gives me a glimpse of the love I have for her since she stepped onto the scene. Take a journey in her “Legacy” and check out the video after the jump.
