Villz has been quietly making a name for himself as the next alt-R&B vocalist to pay attention to. With his focus rooted in lost love, the moody, melodic music of Villz is driven by pensive confessions, sexual innuendos, and notions of escapism. While relying on heartbreak as his muse, the Haitian, Florida-bred singer/songwriter weaves soul, synth, and electric guitar with addictive downbeats and an unadulterated delivery. After captivating his audience with the standout singles “4:20 AM” and “Appreciation”, Villz finally releases his long-awaited debut album in full, which includes production from the likes of Mike Ewing, Sage Tune, William Wolf, Ducko McFli, and Syksense.
You can also purchase the album on iTunes.
Following the October release of his single “Alone”, L.A. upstart Jay Peso has returned with a new track that didn’t make his forthcoming self-titled EP, “Hotel Music”. With production courtesy of Nitty, the Oriental wood chime-based instrumental gives off a sense of journey and wander, leaving Jay Peso to fill in the blanks with a little “Hotel Music”. He takes the opportunity to speak on goals and dreams beyond the mundane activities of everyday life, and while “Hotel Music” didn’t make the cut, its theme of resilience is one that dominates his upcoming EP. Jay Peso’s self-titled EP drops tomorrow.
